The interesting question will be: who takes over as deputy? Another IP Officer? an Oceanographer?

The FCC/C10F DCOM position was downgraded from 0-7 to 0-6 earlier this year as part of DoD and DON actions to reduce overall number of FO/GOs, will be interesting to whether an IDC or URL Officer will assigned to the position.

Next hopefully is a true IDC Officer to lead OPNAV N2/N6. That staff needs a rudder check

Unfortunately, I believe the OPNAV N2/N6 billet was re-coded to be filled by URL. I could be wrong, but that was the last I heard.

This is a very good thing for the community. I am excited to see how things will go once VADM Rogers is confirmed as DIRNSA and RADM Tighe as FCC/C10F... its a good time to be in the IDC.

RADM Grace Hopper was a national treasure. VADM Tighe is on a path to surpass Grace in the annals of Navy history.
