Bad news

Bad news doesn't get better with age.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Bad news sells better than good news.

Bad news travels fast.

Give the XO the bad news. Save the good news for the skipper.

Anonymous said...: I've never thought about segregating which news I pass to the CO or XO, as I usually pass everything to the XO or both at the same time. However, my rule of thumb is that I send my Division Officers, Chiefs or Blue Shirts up to see the CO or XO to pass good news and I always deliver the bad news.; July 28, 2010 at 1:56 PM
