Musings, leadership tidbits and quotes posted by a retired Navy Captain (really just a high performing 2nd Class Petty Officer) who hung up his uniform a bit too early (even at 30 years). The uniform is in the closet but, he still wears his Navy service on his sleeve. He needs to get over that. But, he just doesn't try hard enough. "ADVANCE WARNING - NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT!" This is one of my all time favorites. The other Bacon cartoon that I enjoy is "When Cryppies Buy Houses." The caption says "Do you have one without windows?" I remember when I was a division officer on Ticonderoga and I "freaked out" a young SUPPO by telling him about something he had done in High School. My ending was "I can find out anything I want about anybody," however, I failed to mention that we had a mutual friend who was a freind of his older sister's. She had told me the story. The young SUPPO was always nice to me until he heard "the rest of the story" at his farewell.
