Trust

"If you trust your Sailors completely, you will be disappointed occasionally, but if you mistrust your Sailors, you will be miserable all the time."

Yes, No Trust - we are there. And Miserable, yes - where we are there, all the time. Pick your example to validate the point of no trust; CPO induction, initiation, Breathalyzers, Endless SAPR training, on and on and on - all from the clown show called Navy leadership, no trust indeed.

Sir - The officers give their vision to the Chief's mess. If Sailors are failing in the achievement of that vision its the Chief's that need an extra push not the blue shirt Sailors themselves.

Sailor'ing 101 come on.....

Yep. Agree with anon 1008. We used to joke about it 25 years ago but now it's real. Every picture I've seen of LCS skippers shows them standing around in a uniform with a radio clipped to their belt so they can make all the decisions. Talk about a wire up the ass and zero trust.
