Rear Admiral Katherine Gregory is the first female flag officer in the Civil Engineer Corps. This promotion caps a series of milestones for the St. Louis native, who was also the first female executive officer of a Seabee battalion and first female commanding officer of an active Seabee battalion.She assumed command of Naval Engineering Command Pacific on 9 July 2010. She is a 1982 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.

Superb officer. I knew her as a Commander. She is GOOD PEOPLE.
I had the honour and the pleasure to work with and for her her in Italy, and it's been an amazing adventure. I can't think to an other person who deserves that promotion more than Kate. I always bring her smile in my soul and her professionality in my job. Thank you for being such a great person.
