NIOC Hawai'i Change of Command - 29 June

Great group of naval officers. Served with each of them.
With Captain Cole being one of the nicest guys in our community, that leaves only one. Captain Kershaw is a big fan of Captain Kershaw and though a solid Officer, his arrogance turns most of us off. We're happy to do what he tells us, but not all that interested in following his lead. Maybe he has changed in the years since I have served with him. Only those in HI will know for sure.
Believe it or not, I have exactly the opposite perspective. One man's fruit is another man's poison. Granted, they were CDRs when I worked with them. Promotions bring out the demons in some men. They think they are above us. The angels are above us; the demons below.

Please let us know regarding below. Because one of my good friends is flirted with jfk recently. Is he playboy? My friend is purely Japanese woman in HI. How do you think about that?

Captain K is like many other COs who only care about themselves. He never learned to be a servant leader. Guys like him picked him for promotion. Our sailors don't trust him and just wait for his next outburst.

The CO's XO is even more arrogrant that he is. Quite a team but NIOC HI has had lots of trouble with its XOs. Last one was fired I think.
NIOC HI personnel anxiously await the next change of command and XO turnover. It won't come soon enough for some of us...
