The Kind Of Leader We Are Dealing With

What kind of Flag officer leader personally debriefs his Lieutenant Commander staff officers on their Fitness Reports?

The kind that actually believes 'people are our most important asset.'  It's one thing to "talk the talk"; it's another thing entirely to "walk the walk."

You know who I'm talking about.  He's the real deal.

More authentic leadership is coming.

Clearly a truly effective leader! At the command in which I serve, we recognize that often times our inefficiencies allow us to be most effective...

I could not agree more. There is nothing more impressive than a Commanding Officer taking the time to 'do the right thing' when it comes to fitness reports and performance evaluations.

Naval Officer's who get it, are the ones who understand that at the time in which evaluations and fitness reports are being completed, there is nothing more important on a Sailor's mind than receiving that report (good, bad, or otherwise).

For me, as a Senior Enlisted Leader, it is the "Hard Work" that you owe your crew, since you have the privilege of command!

Don't normally comment to blogs, but absolutely could not resist!

If you are referring to C10F, he is living up to his reputation.
