I am now and forever will be a 1610.
Since the beginning of this war, IDC executive leaders have been striving for a "makeover" when we really need a "Rickover".
Even Rickover could not fix this mess that is the IDC in its present form and the future construct as envisioned by our current IDC executive leaders.
Generalists or specialists. You choose. There are tradeoffs. You win and lose with both.
The real question is....What does the Navy need?
