Thoughtful post HERE about what some are chasing.
His post comes at a time when MANY
are AFRAID to say what they think and MOST
are absolutely PETRIFIED to put it in writing!

Sometimes it just boils down to this.
Musings, leadership tidbits and quotes posted by a retired Navy Captain (really just a high performing 2nd Class Petty Officer) who hung up his uniform a bit too early. He still wears his Navy service on his sleeve. He needs to get over that. "ADVANCE WARNING - NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT!" A "self-appointed" lead EVANGELIST for the "cryptologic community". Keeping CRYPTOLOGY alive-one day and Sailor at a time. 2015 is 80th Anniversary of the Naval Security Group.

Fantastic post over there! Words we can all live by...
There is a time and a place to drop the "anonymous" shield, especially as a junior Sailor. Discretion is the better part of valor, or something like that. :)
The system requires us to chase collar devices: up or out. Finding what you are good at and want to do, then sticking with it, is not allowed. I understand how that system came about, but I also know practically no other Navy in the world works this way.
