11 Flags...great!! Now let's cut about 5000 enlisted billets so we can keep them all!

It's getting just a little top heavy, don't you think? What percentage of the IW community actually delivers a "product" for our national security as opposed to pushing policy papers and managing constant restructuring to make room for more flag posts? Cut half of them... the corresponding reduction of our national budget deficit will ultimately be worth more than what they will likely contribute.

FYI

Active and Reserve are not the names of flag officers. Active and Reserve are categories.

OK...9 Flags! Let's cut 4000 enlisted billets so we can keep them...We have WAY too many flags in the Navy.

This article states perfectly what needs to happen in the Navy: http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2010/05/overdue-controlled-burn.html

Dr/Admiral Tighe is awesome ... I will always cherish the days when she was that great XO back in my flying days when I was a CTO1(SW/NAC) ... and I knew then what everyone knows now ... that woman is going places! If I could be un-Retired and locomote myself off of my comfortable Tampa Bay Area beach her Navy is protecting from afar, she would definitely be the first person I'd try to work for.
