New warriors
Joining a legion of cyber warriors in the IDC as full fledged "war fighters" are intellectual warriors (our public affairs team of PAOs and Mass Communication Specialists). These folks are on the front lines in the battle of ideas. After all, the pen has always been mightier than the sword.

Mike,
Amen to that, and that is something that many of us who write (especially on blogs) experience again and again. In addition, the power of the written word can put the people who do not write at such a disadvantage that they start to attack both the written word and the person holding the pen (or owning the blog), which unfortunately happened to me this week. People with strong opinions and who communicate those opinions in writing can indeed be a very effective force mightier than the sword, and thus perceived as a threat by many.
Kind regards,
Anneli
Quite right Anneli. Owning an opinion and expressing it seems to be a dangerous thing.
