From the TOP SECRET archives of the CNO OP-20-2 (8 February 1947)

"The successes of the Communications Intelligence Organization in the effective prosecution of the war are a matter of record. Many of these successes rest upon the technical achievements in basic research and development which were the direct result of the brilliant originality, superb skill and immeasurable perseverance of (our COMINT personnel)."

Members of the Information Dominance Corps (IDC) proudly continue to build on the reputation built prior to their many successes in WWII. The IDC is actively pursuing their craft in the global war on terror and other areas essential to our National defense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the second part of that memo says the COMINT organization should be kept seperate from the comms organization.
