Can I list IDWO after my paygrade?

Does a SWO, SS, or SEAL list it after theirs?

LCDR(SS), LCDR(SWO), LCDR(SEAL)

No you can't...sorry if you need to prove yourself.

Since we are getting serious answers to obviously ridiculous questions, I will ask mine.....

When Dress Skivvies are prescribed do you wear large or miniature medals?

Dress Skivvies? Now that depends on if you are attending the Navy Ball in Drag after DADT is repealed.

Go with Large Medals and a nice brazilian thong.

Sounds like the Officers in the community need to have some bling!

CT's/IS's/IT's are afforded the opportunity to go ANYWHERE and do ANYTHING. A real, ALREADY ESTABLISHED warfare pin is well within their grasp ALREADY. I know some CT's that broke their backs and have more letters in parenthesis after their rate than in their last name (that's a no shyter!!)

This is the pillow warriors that manage to scam shore after shore duty (IN/OUT CONUS) and are now feeling the heat of not having done anything to get a pin. We have to make everyone feel special, but when we bring stuff like that up we get the old "get onboard shipmate" response.

ALCON: Roger all. Remember watching movies like "The Last Detail" where old salt PO1s only had 6 ribbons and no pins? I've been in since '78, and am now an 1830 IDWO, having been an IS1, QM1, and AW1 in past lives, as well as an Intel LDO and FTS 1630...this seems to go with the "ribbon or badge for everything" generation my sons are a part of...in the old days, there were only Aviator, Sub, and Aircrew pins (embroidered badges before that). Enlisted folks other than in the categories above (yes, there were enlisted Aviators, called NAPs, from about 1918-1980) had sleeve specialty sleeve marks (like a diving helmet, Zeppelin, PT boat, etc.) - maybe we should go back to some of that...my two cents.
