Naval Hospital Rota Commanding Officer Fired For Unprofessional Conduct

From Navy News:

Captain Michial S. Warrington, CO U.S. Naval Hospital Rota, Spain, was fired by Rear Admiral Terry Moulton on Monday, March 9, 2015.

Rear Admiral Terry Moulton, commander, Navy Medicine East, fired Warrington for "loss of confidence in his judgment and ability to command" after a substantiated investigation of unprofessional behavior.

Warrington has been reassigned to Navy Medicine East in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Captain Todd Wagner, the hospital's executive officer, has temporarily assumed command until a permanent replacement is named.

  2. If you've seen his official photo, you could see he was clearly outside Navy PRT standards. Navy could have saved themselves some trouble by just enforcing its own rules about PRT standards. Probably should not have been in command in the first place. I don't know if the Navy enforces rules on PRT for staff positions ashore.

  3. I like how this site always advertises other communities leaders failures. The IDC needs to do what these other communities are doing and fire leadership that is failing. For instance: You have CO at NIOC MD who sometimes shows up to work and when he does he may be there for a few hours. If one of his sailors did not submit a leave chit or was committing dereliction of duty would be at MAST and dishcarged UCMJ is for everyone. You also had a CO who misused funds 22K and then made her staff basically pay it back undo influence??? Another who just retired and your blog had plenty of comments about him while in command at Hawaii..this site was being used a climate survey by several.

Report the facts to the FCC/C10F IG for NIOC MD.

Do the same for the female CO who misused $22K if she's in the FCC/C10F chain of command.

Ron Furlong, the IG, WILL investigate.
