Food for thought
There are 631,914 people (active, Reserve, civilian) serving in the Navy.
Why would you possibly let just 1 of them stand in the way of your success?
Boss, I show 2012 projected AD endstrength (prior to any new cuts) at just over 325,700. Can you clarify - are you talking civilians, reservists, support facilities... V/r RH (source - http://www.finance.hq.navy.mil/FMB/12pres/DON_PB12_Press_Brief.pdf )
You only wrote two sentences and some folks could not understand that. That might just be the one standing in the way of success and possibly understanding.
Well, if that one person was CAPT Holly Graf, that may not be so easy, at least in my experience.

My bigger point was there is lots of maneuvering room and one person should not stand in the way of another's success.
