What's your point?
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it a second time - a tremendous whack!
Absolutely despised the Atlantic Ocean Staff acronym, BLUF. Be concise, be brief, sit down.
One could always tell the staffs that didn't do much by the length/duration of their prepared powerpoint slides. When they then kicked off with a BLUF I left.
