Musings, leadership tidbits and quotes posted by a retired Navy Captain (really just a high performing 2nd Class Petty Officer) who hung up his uniform a bit too early. He still wears his Navy service on his sleeve. He needs to get over that. "ADVANCE WARNING - NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT!" A "self-appointed" lead EVANGELIST for the "cryptologic community". You're invited - National Women's History Month Event - VADM Tighe Keynote
Not the first fleet - the original 10th fleet was the first.

Not just National Men's History Month - when is Caucasian Male month? By celebrating all the diversity months we encourage division vice unity...becomes counter to the message leadership is trying to portray, but they are too arrogant to see it.
@All Anonymous(1:11,4:22,6:37,6:49) :. You are all bunch of HATERS and ignorants! . I really hope that none of you are still active. You definitely do not belong in the military! I bet that If it were for you all, we would still have slavery, only Caucasian white males be allowed to vote, and women be at home being housewifes. Go get a diversity class, and accept change! BTW...stop hating on us highly educated people who don't have to be always at sea to make a difference! The Navy is more than just ships!
If it wasn't for the ships there would be no reason to have a Navy. Everything outside the Fleet is just support (or should be). A Vice Admiral (any gender - or multiple genders, if that makes you feel better) with not a single day of sea duty should be embarrassed.
My VP/VQ flags are so embarrassed not to have served aboard ship like VADM Tighe. She flew combat support missions during DS/DS. Anon, what was your contribution beyond snide comments on a blog. You lack the intestinal fortitude to own your words. YOU should be embarrassed !
Your VP/VQ flags should be embarrassed that an O-5 can't express a grammatically correct thought (first sentence). But thanks for taking time away from developing a powerpoint presentation for the command's monthly 'Diversity Day Stand-down'.
The first fleet with only feet - and no ships.

VADM T can also make the claim to being the first numbered fleet commander with zero on her sea duty counter.

ReplyDeletePerhaps, CDR, you should rewrite the first sentence; it implies VADM Tighe served aboard ship.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Orwell was correct?
