Musings, leadership tidbits and quotes posted by a retired Navy Captain (really just a high performing 2nd Class Petty Officer) who hung up his uniform a bit too early. He still wears his Navy service on his sleeve. He needs to get over that. "ADVANCE WARNING - NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT!" A "self-appointed" lead EVANGELIST for the "cryptologic community". Keeping CRYPTOLOGY alive-one day and Sailor at a time. 2015 is 80th Anniversary of the Naval Security Group.

Despicable !
“Nothing is more despicable than respect based on fear.”
I hardly feel that the Frenchman, Albert Camus had any idea what his blather represented. Being unfamiliar with him and his philosophy I took a look at his quotes and found most of what he said was typical liberal diatribe. Here is one that struck me as if he knew not what he was implying.
He who despairs over an event is a coward, but he who holds hope for the human condition is a fool.
Albert Camus
Having spent an entire Navy career with the sustained effort of halting the advancement of Communism throughout the world, and with the major factor of that effort as MAD, we the military and the taxpayers of the United States defeated the ideas of Communism. That entire period was devoted to respect based on fear. We are destined to face those same problems again in the future because our leadership does not want us to be the force we once were and we most certainly will lose the respect we had in those days.
